The Broker - The Short Version
TabTrade.com opened in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, the FMA-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It suggests the person running this has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But preferable to a random name you cannot trace.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys did the opposite. Interesting choice.
Market coverage: forex, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that launched in March 2026, the breadth is solid.
The Software
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and web trading. Both MT5 and cTrader from the same login. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, automated trading, massive community. If you know a MetaQuotes platform before, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
FIX API is there for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would round things out once it is live.
Costs
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently a fraction of a pip. Meaning your actual cost per trade can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. TabTrade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not relevant to typical accounts. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Execution Speed
This is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.
The FSRA Question
Now, the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. This does not guarantee anything. It does be part of how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade runs a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You put money in, TabTrade top up your balance. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
